Tour New Zealand - Aotearoa, Land of the Long White Cloud

Schedule

March 14 to 25, 2010
November 8 to 19, 2010
Book your tour to New Zealand.

After your arrival into New Zealand’s largest city Auckland, you will be met by your tour hostess in the arrivals hall of the International airport. Your local coach driver will then transport you in air-conditioned comfort throughout the following 7 days of your North Island journey. Let him share his vast knowledge as you travel from temperate rainforest bordering black sand beaches to ancient kauri forests lying alongside glistening white sand stretches of coastline.

New Zealand

Meet the ‘hands on’ experts who will guide you through each of their own patches of paradise from a group of young, environmental scientists whose specialty is water care to those naturalists who record and protect our world migratory shore birds. Learn how one family owned native plant nursery operates, and just why they have won national awards for their conservation efforts. Take a guided walk into old gold shafts hidden in the bush to see the real remaining treasure, our fascinating native glowworms.

Discover how other small companies contribute towards New Zealand’s home grown, organic and sustainable produce market. For example, health remedies produced from the medicinal properties of the native manuka tree and the introduced olive tree. You continue onto steaming, thermal areas and a volcanic top where you can walk deep into a dormant crater. Maori culture is strongly represented here.

The snow capped Southern Alps will lie below as you take a domestic flight to the Queenstown. Here, your local driver awaits to transfer you further into the incredible natural, scenic wonderland of the South Island. A ‘highlight’ journey into Fiordland including a boat trip on Doubtful Sound will provide you with the chance to rub shoulders with those that live and work in this World Heritage area. Other inclusions such as an exhilarating jet boat ride which takes you into yet another wilderness area gem will ensure your ‘Down Under’ experience provides a great balance of enjoyment and learning adventure.
