IBEX Logo
The logo is a stylized prehistoric cave drawing of an ibex originating from France. Ibex is a wild mountain goat of genus Capra distinguished by the male's large recurved horn. Ibex had wide distribution in the mountains of Europe, North Africa, and the Near East and was hunted by prehistoric men for at least 35,000 years. It is a common subject of prehistoric art, such as cave drawings.
It symbolizes strength, endurance, and conquest as it is often seen proudly standing on top of the most impregnable mountain peaks.
