Dr. Ilya Raskin, Ph.D. is a professor of biology at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and a president of the Global Institute for BioExploration. Dr. Raskin leads research projects in many developing countries to study biodiversity and improve human health. He is the author of more that 150 scientific papers and a recipient of numerous prestigious awards and international titles. He is also an accomplished nature photographer and is regularly published in popular and scientific magazines.
Vice-Chair - Dr. Mary Ann Lila

Dr. Mary Ann Lila is a professor in Food Bioprocessing and Nutrition Science at North Carolina State University and a director of the Plants for Human Health Institute. She has published over 150 scientific papers, and has served as chair of international scientific societies and editor of major scientific journals. She received a number of prestigious awards and honorary degrees for her contributions to science and for her role in building major international programs at US universities.

Dr. Slavik Dushenkov is a managing director of the Global Institute for BioExploration at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He is an accomplished naturalist, scientist and business leader with 15 years of international teaching, research, and administrative experience at major universities in the United States and Russia and nine years of executive management experience in the biotechnology industry.
Director - Barbara Halpern
Research Program Administrator, Biotech Center, Rutgers University
Ms. Halpern is a research program administrator for domestic and international activities at the Biotech Center at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Ms. Halpern oversees the funding and management of the International Cooperative Biodiversity Program (ICBG), the Dietary Supplement Research Botanical Center, and the Global Institute for Bioexploration (GIBEX). With over 20 years of experience in scientific research and management, Ms Halpern has applied her expertise to the strategic planning and development of several biotech start-up companies. In addition, Ms. Halpern has been successful in coordinating and running scientific conferences both nationally and globally.
